#FitFamilyChallenge

Sometimes it's like the universe is lining you up specifically for certain things, don't ya think?  The past week has been just mind blowing for me.  To start, my sweet Nelson came home.  After 6 weeks of being out on some sort of crazy cat adventure, he is back and making our hearts so happy once again!  Mini me had a few friends over so the house was loud and crazy, which is what I thought was making the dog crazy.  Then I start to hear something on the back porch.  Assuming it's a raccoon, I did NOT want to open the door, but pup was nutty and I knew that also meant she would need to go out.  I bundled up (as it was in the 50's and rainy) and opened the door...and sitting there al  sweet and cute in the rain was my kitty boy.  My heart stopped.  I couldn't believe it.  We let him in and he ran straight for his food.  I am still in disbelief, but so very happy.
cuddling to get warm upon his return

The second piece of my karmic alignment ;) involves our family health.  Hubs has researched so many various diets and eating plans.  We have counted calories, cut Gluten, gone strict Atkins...and they all have short term effects, but nothing long term.  So last week we did some talking and kind of created our own modified version of various things.  Basically we have cut down on complex carbs and are trying to really stick to healthier ones, as well as cover all other nutritional needs.  We have cut back on some higher sugar foods and it is working pretty well.  Hubs is down 10+ pounds in a week, and I'm down 6...plus with the cut in sugar...my sleep has been AMAZING!  I mean, super deep, restful sleep.  I hadn't rea;ized how bad off I was sleepwise until I started getting some real quality sleep.

And to top things off, remember our #FitFujiFam challenge we had going on before vacation?  Well, the fabulous folks at #BOSUStrong have a #FitFamily challenge this week and I am excited to jump on board and be a part.  I will be posting various things this week as part of the challenge and am hoping you will jump on board too!  To get started, cut and paste this fun Madlib into the commenst section after filling out!
